September 28, 2026 – Sekisui-Fuller Co., Ltd. (President: Shinshi Yamaguchi; hereinafter “Sekisui-Fuller”)—a joint venture between Sekisui Chemical Co., Ltd. (President: Ikusuke Shimizu; hereinafter “Sekisui Chemical”) and H.B. Fuller Company (President and CEO: Celeste B. Mastin)—will launch “Sekisui Fire-Resistant Bond” on September 29, known as “Adhesive Day”*. This product combines reliable adhesion under normal conditions with fire-resistant bonding performance in the high-temperature environments associated with fires. It expands the range of options for securing fire-prevention and fire-resistant components while contributing to reduced labor during installation and a lower risk of components detaching during a fire.

* “Adhesion Day” is a commemorative day based on a Japanese wordplay on the date September 29 (9-2-9), which can be read as “kuttsuku” (meaning “to stick” or “adhere”).
