We received a certificate of commendation from the Japanese health minister for being an outstanding example of a corporation recognized in a statistical survey by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.

Participating in a Food Drive

We support the efforts of Second Harvest Japan, a certified non-profit organization, and provide ongoing assistance as a sustaining member. Twice a year, we organize a company-wide food drive at all our locations to collect donations from our employees. We also send volunteers to assist with food packaging at their pantries. Through these activities, we provide food assistance to families in need and contribute to the reduction of food waste.

Eco Cap

We participate in Eco Cap, which program enables to convert recycling PET bottle caps into vaccine for the countries and areas where poverty prevails.

Activity Details
  • Collected caps are sold to recycle business.
  • The fund are used for purchasing vaccine. And the program enhances welfare activities.
  • We place designated containers in from of vending machines for cap collection. We also received caps from our employee homes.

Collecting Used Stamps

This is another way that our daily efforts make the difference.

Activity Details
  • We cut off stamps from mails and envelopes, and assort them by size.
  • Stamps are sold to collectors, and the funds are donated.
  • We also recycle such envelopes.

Environmental cleanup activities

As part of our community beautification efforts, we cleaned the streets around our Tokyo headquarters.

Welkame Beach Cleanup

Hamamatsu City in Shizuoka Prefecture, where Sekisui Fuller’s factory is located, has a long coastline facing the Pacific Ocean. Every year on the second Sunday of May, volunteers, including citizens and employees of companies based in Hamamatsu City, engage in cleanup activities along this long coastline.
Sekisui Fuller, because of our Hamamatsu factory locates the near to the coast, has participated in this cleanup volunteer activity for many years. On May 12th this year, once again, many employees and their families participated in the cleanup activities.
Sekisui Fuller’s Mission is to “Contribute to society through adhesion and deliver happiness and inspiration to all stakeholders!” Not only does the company contribute to society through its adhesive products, but also by participating in activities like this, its employees embody the company’s mission as members of the local community, contributing to society. The cheerful expressions on the faces of employees and their families convey this awareness. convey this awareness.

“Adhesive Class” held in Hamamatsu

As part of our CSR activities, we have invited elementary school children to our “Adhesive Class” held in Hamamatsu City where one of our plants is located.
“Adhesive Class” provides children with a variety of experimental learning activities that enable them to learn “mechanism of adhesion”.
Quite a few children and their parents participated in the past events that were well-received with favorable feedback from the participants.
