Our Strategic Sourcing Department actively does business with suppliers in Asia, the US, and Europe while procuring raw materials and packing materials especially in Japan. In addition, we strive for leveraging networks with Sekisui Fuller and H.B. Fuller and pursues stable and best procurement to ensure the safe use of our products for our customers.

Sekisui Fuller’s Procurement Policies

We strive to strengthen our harmonious and mutually beneficial partnership with our business partners through fair transactions.We will perform our procurement of goods according to the following five principles.

1. Basic Principles of Procurement

Openness	Sekisui Fuller has its doors open not only to domestic companies but also widely to overseas companies.
Impartiality and fairness	Sekisui Fuller selects business partners based on impartial and fair evaluation standards with emphasis on quality, price and delivery lead-time, services, etc., as well as consideration to the environment.
Compliance with Laws and Regulations	When engaging in purchasing transactions, Sekisui Fuller will comply with relevant laws, regulations, and administrative instructions in Japan and overseas.
Mutual Trust	Sekisui Fuller will establish and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with its business partners, as well as sincerely fulfill all contractual obligations.
Environmental Considerations	Sekisui Fuller will further promote the purchase of raw materials and goods that have minimal negative impact on the environment (Green Procurement), and strive to establish a resource-recycling society through harmonized efforts with business partners.

2. Request to our Business Partners regarding Procurement

Sekisui Fuller aims to become a company trusted by society based on its philosophy of contributing to society. In order to achieve this, it is absolutely necessary to engage in activeness through mutual cooperation with business partners. Proactive cooperation from all business partners are requested on the following activities.

(1) Securing Superior Product Quality	Establish a quality assurance system to improve and maintain the quality of products offered to customers.    Establish quality assurance program based on ISO 9001
(2) Environmental Considerations	Sekisui Fuller is working to contribute to the environmental in all stages of the product; from R&D to production. To do so, it is indispensable to give environmental considerations on raw materials and goods supplied by our business partners.    Establish environmental management system based on ISO 14001 The procurement of parts and raw materials with minimal negative environmental impact, such as reduction of potentially hazardous chemicals
(3) Compliance with Laws, Regulations and Social Customs	Business partners are requested to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and appropriate social norms of the countries and regions where their business operations are conducted.    Comply with relevant laws and regulations in the business operations Prohibit forced labor Prohibit child labor Prohibit discrimination against employees
(4) Safety and Hygiene	Safety management of human resources, equipment and maintenance are the fundamentals of production. Business partners are requested to perform the following.    Manage safety and hygiene of the workplace and maintaining employee health Safeguard machines, manage safety and hygine of facilities Respond appropriately to work accidents and facility disasters.

Proposals for New Materials

We welcome proposals for new materials (technologies). Also, when submitting a proposal, please confirm that it complies with the requirements of the Sekisui Fuller Procurement Policy (Section 1. above).
